GLOSSARY
Roads in the ACT are graded into a hierarchy by traffic volume. From top to bottom: Highway, Arterial, Major Collector, Minor Collector, Local Access Street, Rear Lane.
Arterial Road – A road with a prime function to provide for major regional and inter-regional traffic movements, usually with traffic volumes of greater than 6,000vpd (vehicles per day).
